The disc is 80% water. Just like a water balloon, if you squeeze on one end, water goes out the opposite side. So it is with our discs! I'm Dan Bowen, PT, DPT, CIES I & II

I graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2013 with my doctorate in physical therapy. I am married to my beautiful wife Lindsay and we have 4 kids together, Violet, Levi, Millie, and Jett. I have worked as a physical therapist treating thousands of patients with neck pain, low back pain, and shoulder pain due to postural related injuries, but now it is my passion to address the muscle fatigue ("I hold all my stress in my upper traps") and discomfort of the body before there is an injury and pain ensues. 

With the advancement in technology and with our culture spending more and more time in front of a computer, our bodies are wearing down sooner. I am now seeing arthritic changes in the spine starting in the mid to late 20's compared to age 40. This is not good, in fact it's REALLY bad. Our head naturally follows what are eyes are looking at, so we slouch. Plus we are exposed to technology as a young child, so often times we have 20+ years of added wear and tear on our spine by the age of 25. This is creating the epidemic some call "tech neck". BUT, Doctor Posture is here to help! You don't have to accept tech neck as normal, you CAN fight against it!
